Cisco MPLS 2.2 Instructor Series: MPLS VPN Technology
This course is included in our On-demand training solution.
This course is part of Skillsoft's Instructor Series, technical courses presented in spontaneous lecture-style by subject matter experts. This is 3 of 6 of the Implementing Cisco Multi-Protocol Layer Switching (MPLS) 2.2 series. Multiprotocol Label Switching is a technology capable of dramatically improving the performance of any IP network capable of the technology, and can go beyond and enable service providers a powerful and scalable mechanism of providing customer connectivity. This course covers the practical usage of MPLS technology for todays networks and emparts an awareness of how this complex protocol operates, as well as provides students confidence to use this feature in their own network.
MPLS 2.2 is recommended for any individual responsible for designing, implementing, and/or troubleshooting MPLS networks or solutions based on MPLS technology. This course is also targeted at individuals interested in Cisco certifications – especially the CCIP (Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional) CCIP certification and CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert).
Students enrolled in this course should have a previous exposure to advanced routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS. This course fully assumes knowledge of the configuration of all dynamic routing protocols, and this knowledge is a key element in the configuration of MPLS. Successful completion of the following courses (or equivalent experience) is strongly recommended: Introduction to Cisco Networking Technologies (INTRO) Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices (ICND) Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks (BSCI)
Introducing MPLS VPN Architecture
Introducing the MPLS VPN Routing Model
Forwarding MPLS VPN Packets
