When troubleshooting IP addressing and routing issues, you might need to determine a client’s IPv4, IPv6, and MAC addresses. The method of obtaining this addressing varies with operating system.
There are a number of ways in which to assign IP addresses to devices throughout the network as well as numerous ways to verify an address depending on issue at hand.
This course describes the ways in which to assign IPv4 and IPv6 addresses to various hosts as well as how to troubleshoot the various IP address assignment methods. Troubleshooting IPv4 and IPv6 basic routing is also covered.
