To configure and manage media resources in Cisco CallManager and add users and use Cisco CallManager to configure user options and settings for Cisco IP Phones in an IP Telephony network.

  • identify the media resources available in Cisco CallManager and distinguish between conference bridge types supported by CallManager.
  • recognize how to configure MTP, annunciator, and transcoder resources in Cisco CallManager.
  • recognize how to configure Music on Hold (MOH) resources in Cisco CallManager.
  • recognize how media resources are allocated using Media Resource Groups (MRGs) and Media Resource Group Lists (MRGLs).
  • configure MRGs and MRGLs and apply the MRGLs to devices, for a given scenario.
  • recognize how to add and associate a user to a device in Cisco CallManager.
  • use Cisco CallManager to add and associate a user to a device.
  • recognize how to use Cisco CallManager User Options to activate call forwarding and configure speed dial settings for a device.
  • recognize how to use Cisco CallManager to subscribe to Cisco IP Phone services and configure personal address book, fast dial, message waiting lamp policy, and locale settings.
