Course Objectives

Fundamentals of Cisco CallManager

  • identify the purpose of each layer in the Cisco AVVID voice infrastructure model and recognize the primary CallManager functions within the IP Telephony solution.
  • identify the operating system, database, and supporting applications on which Cisco CallManager depends as well as the supported hardware platforms for CallManager 4.1.
  • identify the installation CDs and configuration data required for CallManager installation.
  • recognize the key Cisco CallManager post-installation tasks, the functions of CallManager’s services, and the upgrade paths to Release 4.1.
  • implement key post-installation tasks for Cisco CallManager services, in a given scenario.
  • identify the features and requirements of the SQL Server cluster relationship and distinguish between the types of intracluster communication and CallManager cluster redundancy design.
  • distinguish between the IP Telephony deployment models supported by Cisco in terms of their characteristics and design guidelines.
