  • recognize the steps for managing database files using Automatic Storage Management (ASM) and disk groups.
  • identify ways to manage disk groups and their attributes and also configure and manage ASM instances.
  • recognize the steps for managing ASM storage, scalability, and performance using the ALTER command and also the ASMCMD utility.
  • create an ASM instance and disk group and use the ASMCMD to view disk group data.
