SNMP, MIBs, and RMON

  • identify the key network management components and models.
  • identify the goals of SNMP architecture and how elements of the architecture express a solution to network management problems.
  • interpret syntax used to define information contained in a Management Information Base.
  • identify the elements of the message types used to retrieve or alter MIB variables.
  • identify the key structural elements of the MIB.
  • differentiate between the features and functions of RMON and RMON2.
  • differentiate between SNMP versions.
