Video Conferencing and Protocol

The protocols used for video conferencing boil down to two choices: SIP or H.323. You will need to determine which protocols are a better fit for your video solution. This course covers the SIP and H.323 protocol suite in addition to components of RTP, the real-time transport protocol used to stream audio and video through the network. The Multipoint controller, VCS server, and ISDN connections are also briefly introduced. This course is one of a series in the Skillsoft learning path that covers the objectives for the Cisco exam Implementing Cisco Video Network Devices, Part 1 (CIVND1) v1. This exam counts toward the CCNA Collaboration certification.
CIVND1 is focused on the Chief Collaboration Officer or telecommunications administrator responsible for the knowledge to describe characteristics of video solutions and assess the requirements for a successful implementation of a video solution.
