Overview

To demonstrate how to use the Bulk administration Tool (BAT), a web-based application for Cisco CallManager, and the Tool for Auto-Registered Phones Support (TAPS) to bulk-add and auto-register Cisco IP telephony network

Course Objectives

Using BAT and TAPS

  • identify the components and features of the Bulk Administration Tool (BAT).
  • install the Bulk Administration Tool (BAT).
  • complete an installation of the BAT application.
  • use BAT to configure a Cisco IP Phone template.
  • create and validate CSV files for importing data into BAT.
  • use BAT to insert IP Phones into the Cisco CallManager database and update IP Phone settings.
  • use the BAT wizard to complete a bulk configuration process.
  • recognize how the Tool for Auto-Registered Phone Support (TAPS) is used.
  • perform the steps required to install and configure TAPS.
  • install and configure TAPS.
